I am very reluctant to buy steak or order it in a restaurant, I have been disappointed so often, but your rump steak that I bought last Thursday was delicious and really tender - a joy to eat.

We love buying from Westhills Farm as it is a local, independent farm close to us.  We love supporting local businesses and spending back into the local community.   We like that the farm has native breeds - the Hereford is famed for it's flavour.   We love that the farm allows for the breed to be grass fed, the priority is ensuring the animals are cared for with high standards and high welfare, which also equates to a great flavour.  

The fat is a beautiful yellow colour which is indicative of a grass based diet and full of omegas.

We love that there is full traceability from farm to fork, we see them grazing round various fields in Rothbury and we know exactly where our meat comes from.   We especially love that we can pick and mix products to purchase, allowing us to choose the different cuts of meat I want.  

The overall reason whey we buy from Rachel & Joe is that the meat the produce is full of great flavour and tenderness.  Thank you, Jenny.

We buy from Westhills farm because the meat is sustainably farmed, organic meat and from traditional breeds.   We love that we can see them outside happy and watch them grow, we see how well they are looked after.   Most of all, we buy it because the taste is great.    Thanks Catherine.

We buy our meat from Westhills farm each time they have a sale as we know how well the animals are cared for and the quality of the meat is second to none.   We usually buy several fillet steaks, sirloin steaks and mince, sometimes a roasting joint, but we are finding we aren't quick enough now as it is so popular - which is a wonderful thing that so many people love buying local.   We bought some rump steak to try the other day and couldn't get over how incredible it tasted.  Rump steak is often known as hard to cook as it becomes tough and rubbery, not these - these rump steaks were incredible !

We love the meat from Westhills Farm, we like the whole process, we can walk to the farm from our home and once there, we can choose exactly the cuts of meat we prefer.   Rachel is usually on hand with recipe suggestions.  We can pick up as much or as little as we need.  Often we'll buy a large join of topside for example and then cut it down into smaller portions once we are home.  Our favourite products are the topside, fillet and sirloin steaks, and the beef mince.  Rachel price matches with a large supermarket so we know we are getting the best quality meat at a very competitive price.  We carry home our shopping in our backpacks and freeze the majority.  We probably eat the beef once a week.   We love the fact it's grass fed, is slaughtered locally and we love the taste !  Thanks Karen
